What the work looks like out here
Every town in the county has its own tree ordinance, and they are not the same.
Marin is home. We work the whole county — San Rafael, Mill Valley, Tiburon and Novato most weeks, and Fairfax, San Anselmo, Sausalito, Corte Madera and Larkspur regularly. The trees change as you move around it: redwood and Douglas fir on the shaded slopes, coast live oak almost everywhere, eucalyptus and Monterey pine on the exposed ridges, palms and fruit trees in the older neighborhoods. What does not change is that almost nowhere in Marin has a clear drop zone, so most of what we do comes down in sections. Every town here has its own tree ordinance and they are not the same — give us the address and we will tell you what applies before anything gets scheduled.
