The city protects heritage trees — oak, tanbark oak, madrone and redwood — and you need a permit to remove one, to do major pruning on one, or to take out four or more non-heritage trees on a developed lot in a year. Topping a heritage tree counts as a removal, and topping for a view is not allowed at all. We would not top your tree anyway. Bring us the address and we will tell you whether what you want needs a permit before anything gets scheduled.

Jorge and his team worked incredibly fast and hard not to mention efficiently in our backyard. They trimmed the trees back for the safety of the neighborhood and to beautify our space. Professional, excellent and no complaints. I highly recommend Jorge and his team. They came on time, did an amazing job. Our neighbors were also very impressed and highly complimentary as the trees being trimmed also hang over their property. The tree trimmer obviously has great love and respect for trees. He's an artist.
